Break's Up! Books Out!
THERE IS SOMETHING THAT CAN BE LEARNED FROM WORKING AND RESTING DON’T OVERLOOK EITHER.

After talking to my best friend before she took on her second semester of her sophomore year she mentioned something about college students that we often ignore. We want to juggle multiple tasks at once whether that be a part time job, being a Member of a variety of clubs and organizations on campus, or simply making time for having fun. All For the sake of saying we’re doing "something.”

Last semester my goal was to join as much clubs as I possibly could have. And looking back the idea was kind of foolish. Although the clubs I joined were beneficial and related to what I plan to do in my future career I think other college students need to beware of that toxic mindset of having to have multiple things on their plate. In the end, it’s not about how much you are doing but how much it matters.

This long much needed break was the perfect step in the right direction to get me back on track for this upcoming semester. I had time to rest and be more thankful; something that I often forget to do whilst typing 5 page essays and studying for midterms and finals. Having a significant amount of free time to work on what I wanted to do or enjoyed doing helped me realize the worth of time and how it can be used correctly. My goal for when school starts is to begin using my time more wisely because Lord knows how easy it is to lose track of time when you’re in school.

Breaks Up! Time to bring the books back out. Spring semester I’m ready for you ;-)
