My First Cruise AKA Cruising For Dummies
7 Night Southern Caribbean Cruise
Freedom of the Seas: Royal Caribbean
First things first, you have the ability to visit more places if you travel out of a place for example, Puerto Rico, for Caribbean cruises because it’s faster to get to each Caribbean islands from that location. Also, it's kinda like an added travel/exploration day because you can arrive in a place like PR early and explore that country if you so please.
Arriving to the boat,
Highly don’t recommend sneaking alcohol considering you could get kicked off the boat if you get caught lol
Have your passport, ID, credit cards, cash (BRING CASH but there are ATM’s on the ship) READY to give the staff for smooth boarding
I recommend having an outfit you want to wear, makeup, and bathing suit in your carry on or purse because your luggage may take a while to arrive to your room
Getting on the Boat
EXPLORE, EXPLORE, EXPLORE
Find your floor, the pool deck, where the free food is, where the buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be. It’s best to just explore in general because you want to see the cool beautiful ship and know the gist of where everything is.
On cruise days I separated excursions and activities like so:
Days w/ less time in the country do a short tour or more beachy, relaxation things
Days w/ more time do fun activities, tours, and check out a beach if you have time
Cruise Essentials
-Bug Spray
-Sunscreen
-Wrinkle Release Spray
-Sunglasses
-Portable Charger
-Bluetooth Headphones
-Good Reads
-Waterproof Case
-Snorkeling Equipment
-Waterproof Camera
-Cash
Things To Buy on Cruise Boat
Definitely recommend getting an internet package. Personally I didn’t think I needed a drink package because they offer free drinks but if you want unlimited alcoholic drinks go for it. I wasn’t on the ship the majority of my time so I got drinks for cheap on the islands. But if you are on the ship the majority of the time I would recommend the drink package.
*Prices May Vary for excursions depending on Cruise Line & Time of The Year. There are of course other places to see and things to do in the islands so I would do additional research to find other activities and excursions you REALLY want to do.
